A bit about me:

The Short Version

I'm a Senior Product Designer who spent 10 years launching products, optimizing funnels, and hitting revenue targets at startups and Amazon—then realized I was solving the wrong problems.

I wanted to fix products before they launched, not patch them after. So I went back to school, earned my UX stripes, and brought my business brain to design.

Turns out, knowing how companies actually work is a superpower in product design.

What That Actually Means

I'm a relentless advocate for users—that's non-negotiable. But my business background also means I know how to:

  • Speak stakeholder language (because I used to be one)

  • Tie user needs to revenue, retention, and growth metrics

  • Navigate competing priorities while keeping user value front and center

  • Ship products in fast-moving orgs where "perfect" isn't an option

I don't just design usable products—I design strategically valuable ones that serve users AND succeed in the market.

What I've Been Up To

Currently: Lead Product Designer at CyberOwl (maritime cybersecurity), where my work has:

  • Reduced compliance deviances by 71% through behavior-change design for non-technical ship crews

  • Increased feature adoption by 25% with multi-persona dashboard customization

  • Driven 838 AI-assisted interactions in 3 months via intelligent data validation workflows

Previously: Worked with a media agency on brands including Nespresso, Pampers, and Farmer Connect—conducting research and designing solutions from loyalty program optimization to persona-driven growth strategies.

Before design: 10 years in growth and commercial strategy, including launching a new department at Amazon UK.

This range—from B2B SaaS to global consumer brands, from startup scrappiness to Amazon scale—gives me versatility in understanding different user contexts, business models, and stakeholder dynamics.

How I Work

I lead with research, think in systems, and design for behavior change.

I validate assumptions early—whether that's 106 surveys for a pitch project or testing with ship crews in maritime environments. I understand constraints (tight timelines, technical debt, conflicting stakeholders) and navigate them to deliver solutions that actually ship. And I tie design decisions to business outcomes because I know what stakeholders care about.

My approach:

  • Research-driven (but pragmatic about what's possible)

  • Strategically minded (design decisions tied to business goals)

  • Cross-functionally fluent (I've worked with everyone from ship captains to C-suite to ML engineers)

  • Complexity translator (making technical products accessible without dumbing them down)

What I Bring

The business perspective:
I understand revenue models, stakeholder priorities, and what it takes to ship products. I don't just advocate for users—I show how user-centered design drives retention, reduces support costs, and increases product adoption.

The research rigor:
From heuristic reviews to behavioral analysis to AI/ML collaboration, I validate before I build. I know when to go deep and when to move fast.

The versatility:
B2B SaaS, consumer brands, supply chain tech, cybersecurity—I adapt quickly to new domains and bring patterns from one context to another.

The unconventional path:
My 10 years in growth and commercial strategy means I speak the language of product managers, executives, and sales teams. I understand how businesses work, what makes products succeed, and how to build things that work in the real world—not just in prototypes.
